RaajjeBuddy is a virtual tour guide for visitors to the Maldives, made by AppCloudly. We keep as little about you as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address, country (if you give it) and your password, which is stored only as a secure one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook we receive your name and email address from them, nothing else.
- Your pass: which pass you bought, when, how much and how you paid. Card and wallet payments are handled entirely by Stripe, PayPal or Binance Pay; we never see or store card numbers.
- Agent requests: when you ask to be connected to a local agent, the details you type in the form (name, email or WhatsApp, dates, budget, your message and plan).
- Questions to Aisha: the text of the questions, without your name or address, so we can improve the guide.
- On your device only: your passport stamps, trip plan, chat and settings stay in your browser's local storage. We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and short-lived cookies for signing in with Google, Apple or Facebook. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we keep it
To run your account and pass, to answer your questions, to put you in touch with an agent when you ask, to send emails you expect (password resets, pass confirmations) and to keep the service safe from abuse. If AI answers are switched on, your question and our own travel notes are sent to an AI provider to write the answer; your name and email are never sent.
Who else sees it
Only the services we need to run RaajjeBuddy: our hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider, and the payment provider you choose. When you ask for an agent, the agent you are connected with sees your request. Nobody else.
How long we keep it
Your account stays until you delete it. Questions and agent requests are kept for up to two years. Records of payments are kept as long as the law requires for accounting, without your name once your account is deleted.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time: sign in, open Your account and choose Delete my account. Your account and sign-ins are removed straight away.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or for anything to be corrected or deleted: contact us on the Contact us button on the site.
Safety
The site uses HTTPS everywhere, passwords are hashed, the database lives only on our server with encrypted backups, and only the owner can sign in to the admin.
